What I'm Rich In Now

My favorite spot here in NZ is Cornwall Park. My house is within walking distance of this sprawling park where sheep graze in open fields, so I often bring the kids along for walks. Just knowing that this much natural beauty is right at my fingertips fills me with quiet happiness.

Buying a coffee at the little café in the park, settling onto a bench, and cracking open the book I'm halfway through — that's pure bliss. (Though between the chaos of daily life, I rarely find the time...)

In my twenties and early thirties, I was chasing material wealth.

I lived in New York and LA after Tokyo — earning money just to spend it, buying whatever was trendy, splurging on jewelry and bags. Now, in my late thirties and raising two kids, what I find myself craving isn't things.

It's richness of a different kind — the kind that fills you from the inside.
